Your child's teacher

Meet Ustadha Ayesha Azmat, a female Quran teacher for kids

Every class is taught by Ustadha Ayesha herself, live and one-to-one on Zoom, in calm and encouraging lessons for children who do not speak Arabic at home.

  • Alimah Fazilah qualification
  • Ijazah with a sanad in Tajweed-ul-Quran
  • English, Urdu and Arabic spoken

Who is Ustadha Ayesha Azmat?

Ustadha Ayesha Azmat is the teacher behind Kids Quran Teacher. Parents who book a class here are booking her, not a rotating team of tutors. She teaches children live and one-to-one over Zoom, and she builds each lesson around the child in front of her.

She has experience teaching children who live outside the Arab world and do not speak Arabic at home. That matters, because a child in the USA, UK, Canada or Australia meets Arabic letters and sounds for the first time in these lessons.

What are her qualifications?

We state the details plainly, as the teacher's own description, so that parents can judge for themselves.

  • Alimah Fazilah: she completed the eight-year Dars-e-Nizami course of Wifaq-ul-Madaris.
  • Ijazah with a sanad: she holds an ijazah with a sanad in Tajweed-ul-Quran, Hafs 'an 'Asim.
  • Languages: she speaks English, Urdu and Arabic, so she can explain a rule to a child in the language the family uses most.

If you would like more detail about the qualification, message us on WhatsApp at +92 305 9637306 and ask. We are glad to answer before you decide anything.

How does she teach children who do not speak Arabic at home?

She starts from the child's level, not from a fixed schedule. A beginner may spend time on letter shapes, the correct place each sound comes from (the makharij) and the harakat. An older child who already reads may work on Tajweed rules and smoother recitation.

She uses positive reinforcement. A correct sound is noticed and praised, and reward stickers on the screen give young children something to look forward to. Mistakes are treated as part of learning. A child who feels safe saying a letter wrongly is more willing to try it again.

Along with reading, her classes include daily duas, good manners and stories of the Prophets, so the child learns how faith shows up in everyday life as well as how to read the words. You can see how we put lessons together on our How we teach page.

Each class is a private 30-minute lesson on Zoom. She uses a digital pen and on-screen slides, so she can write a letter, circle a sound or highlight a word while the child watches. Thirty minutes is short on purpose. It suits the attention span of a young child and leaves room to practice again the next day.

Classes are one-to-one, and parents are welcome to sit nearby. For younger children we suggest a parent stays close, to help with the setup and to hear what the child is working on. Times are booked around your family's time zone, and you can ask about weekend slots.

How can you meet her before enrolling?

The simplest way is the free trial. Send a request through the trial form or on WhatsApp, and the trial class is arranged subject to teacher availability. The trial class is free. It lets your child meet Ustadha Ayesha and lets you see how she teaches before you choose a plan.

We also encourage every family to ask how classes are run and who the teacher is before enrolling. When you are ready, the monthly options are on the pricing page.

What to expect: progress differs from child to child. It depends on age, practice at home and how regularly the child attends. After the trial, Ustadha Ayesha will describe a realistic pace for your child.

Questions about kids quran teacher in United States

Is the teacher a woman?

Yes. All classes are taught by Ustadha Ayesha Azmat, a female teacher. Many parents prefer their child to learn with a woman who is patient and warm. Ask us anything about how classes are run before you enrol, and we will answer you directly on WhatsApp.

What qualifications does she hold?

She holds the Alimah Fazilah qualification, which is the eight-year Dars-e-Nizami course of Wifaq-ul-Madaris. She also holds an ijazah with a sanad in Tajweed-ul-Quran, Hafs 'an 'Asim. If you would like more detail about either one, message us on WhatsApp and ask, and we will share what we can.

Which languages does she teach in?

Ustadha Ayesha speaks English, Urdu and Arabic. Most families in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia use English in class, and she can add a few words of Urdu when it helps a child understand. The Quran itself is recited in Arabic, and she teaches the correct sounds step by step from the beginning.

Can my child learn if we do not speak Arabic at home?

Yes. She has experience teaching children outside the Arab world who do not speak Arabic at home, and that is the situation of many of our families. Lessons begin from the letters and sounds, at the pace the child can manage. Practice at home, even for a few minutes, helps a great deal.

Should I sit with my child during class?

Parents are welcome to sit nearby. For young children we suggest a parent stays close, mainly to help with the screen and to hear what the child is learning. Classes are private and one-to-one, so no other students are in the lesson. If you have any question about how a class is run, ask us first.
